Once again, thanks very much for those who have contributed toward the new server. The response was overwhelming. To date, we have received 44 donations totalling $1274.00. After Paypal took there cut (4%), that equals $1222.98. So we've met and surpassed the current nearterm need. The amount will mean I won't have to delay the sticker order like I thought. And we may be able to pay for more RAM in the server for some extra performance (need to research if it's worth it).
In the next day or so I'll order up the new server.
I still plan on responding individually to each of the contributors, as well as adding their names here in this thread and on the right hand column contributors list.
Stay tuned for more updates in this forum as we count down to the new server.

Ok folks.. once again, thanks for the tremendous support you've shown. The extra amount received is allowing me to get an even better server for the site, with twice the amount of RAM, which will mean better performance any way you look at it.
A few minutes ago, I finalized the order of the new server at a discounted (10% and 25% discounts applied) cost of $890.59/yr. That means that that same amount will be due this time next year. So don't be surprised if I ask for help around this time next year to meet the demand... but at least we will have a real hard recurring figure to hit. The site maintenance fund may be sufficient to cover it at that time. We will see.
I do not know how long it will take to get the new server ready for the swap. I am hoping to initiate the swap this weekend if I can. So this is your first warning that the site / message board may not be available for a time in the coming days. Look to the site-wide notifications for the latest information. I'll put one up now as a first warning shot.
Thanks again for all of the generous contributions. You will see direct benefit in the form of better performance.
