Tri-Plus manufacturing makes the hood. As far as I know it's the only steel cowl hood in the market; regardless of what box it comes in.
Thanks,
Jon

Goodmark puts a lot of stuff in their own boxes, I don't how many, if any, of their products they actually make.

Do you have a picture of the underside of the steel cowl hood?

Do you have a picture of the underside of the steel cowl hood? I'll take one tomorrow. Basically it's got the round cutout for the air cleaner to go up inot and the rear of the cowl has mesh welded in to vent it.

Ok, Jon@Tri-Pro, I've heard people say that they bought parts, from other places, that don't match up, or have too many holes... things like that. What say you? Thanks!

There's definately junk out there. I've worked for two factories in Taiwan; but I've also worked for distributors face to face with customers and hands on at body shops when there were issues; so I've seen more than most with respect to aftermarket parts. We're "car guys" at Tri-Pro; we have our own hobby vehicles so we are also customers for other manufacturers and distributors. That said; I'm proud of the parts we offer- I know the difference between our products and the ones that slice your hands, cause grief, and make buying parts an unpleasant experience. We're accessible, we have an actual store (not just an interenet ghost retailer) and, for folks from NJ, pretty easy to deal with.

I'm on the fence on the hood I want, yours is a good price, but do you have anything taller than a two inch. i'm looking at a 4" cowl, do you have anything? Thanks

Driving along on this highway, all these cars upon the sidewalk, people in every direction, no words exchanged, no time to exchange, and when all the little ants are marching, red and black antennae waving, they all do it the same, they all do it the same way, Take these chances, place them in a box until a quieter time, lights down you up and die.

I haven't either, but it would be cool.

That hood works with a crab and round air cleaner. But if you go with a long plenum fuel injection unit or blow through carb hats, clearances become an issue. That is why I have the Harwood fiberglass over the steel Harwood. The Harwood didn't fit with my combination. I'm sure it is fine for most applications and certainly looks well made. Hopefully ease of fitment is as good as they say. I would have preferred a steel hood. Guess we just have to wait for Scott to put his on and post his experience.
