I don't suppose the board qualifies as a non-profit org? Likely not, but http://www.dreamhost.com (who I use, personally) offers free hosting for non-profits. I've had *zero* problems with them, but I don't get a lot of traffic, so I don't personally now how high volumes effect their services. There are heavy discounts available for the initial agreement, and feature rich services as well, including dedicated servers, and things like snapshot backups. I think I may have mentioned DH before, but just in case you haven't checked them out....
