Where to begin...

Without going into too much detail.. I'll be somewhat away from the site anywhere from a week to a month dealing with a pending death in my immediate family. It's going to be tough, with a lot of stuff that needs to be taken care of here, so I won't be able to keep up with every thread on the board like I have been.

To keep things going smoothly, I've elevated PaulB86SS to Administrator level so he can take care of all the stuff that I usually do in the background. I trust PaulB implicitly to keep things going the way I have envisioned. I trust that each and every one of you will give him the same respect and attention that you do me. Ok ok.. give him a little more respect and attention than you would me.

I will still be around.. just not as present as normal. I will be available via email and will still pop into the chat room, but my frequency there will drop for now.

I do have a set of pictures ready to upload to the SS Exhibit. I'll try to take care of that tomorrow.

In closing.. please keep our family in your prayers.. I'm sure anyone who has lost a close and loving parent will understand how difficult a time this will be for us. We are lucky enough to have a very close knit family, so this is a devastating blow to us. If you haven't done so recently.. tell your parents (or your kids) how much you love em. You never know if you'll have the chance tomorrow.

Well, things progresses much quicker than we had ever imagined. My mother passed away this morning at home with her kids and my dad by her side, just as she wanted it. I'm suspending all of my web and email acivities from this point for about a week.

Again, PaulB86SS has taken over Administration of the Message Board while I'm offline.

The best way for someone to pay tribute to their parents is to go out into the world and show every person you meet what a good job they've done. It seems to me that Paul's parents have done a very good job.
Along with the sadness, try to remember to celebrate a life well lived.

Paul, I am sorry about your loss and my sympathy goes to all of your family. My father passed away this past fall and I know how this can be on the family. Your priorities are with your family right now so please don't worry about us. PaulB is doing a fine job in your absence so no need to feel compelled to rush back.
