I have bought one of the black hats in the past and at that time it was the design printed on a "Patch" that was then embroidered on. It's not a print-on-the-hat-itself design. I don't know how they're doing the "trucker" hat, but I imagine it might be the "patch-less" design. I just don't care much for the whole "trucker" look.

FWIW, CafePress sent out notifications the other day that they upgraded their black shirt printing process. Might be worth a try now. I'm making up a black t-shirt, along with some other stuff that I'll have a the Nationals. (Paul, how full can you get your suitcases ;\)

CafePress has at least 2 facilities, one in Kentucky and the other in California. It's possible that one of your items was made at once facility and the other kind of item was made at the other facility.

Great designs! Gimme a few weeks (perhaps @ the Nationals, but not looking promising) and I can provide some SC pictures.
