I first want to thank TonyD for producing the new designs for our products. If we get positive feedback, we'll be creating other designs which may include an Aerocoupe, 3rd Gen and Non-SS Montes. Stay tuned for furture designs.

Here are the currect designs that appear on our products. First the larger image:

Next, the smaller image:

I want to thank everyone who submitted images for our design. I want to especially thank those whose SSs we ultimately used: Brian (200kSS), Bernie (SickSpeedMonte), and Hank (hank1968). I think you'll all agree they are great examples of stock and modified SSs.

So.. no more beating around the bush.. here is the link to our new MonteCarloSS.com Online Shop:
http://www.cafepress.com/montecarlosscom/

We want to hear feedback on the shop and the design. If there is a product / image combination that you don't see, please let me know. We have the ability to change each product (within CafePress's limitations) to your specifications. For those inquiries, please email Merchandise@(nospam)MonteCarloSS.com.

We've set it up so that there is a small amount of "profit" from the sale of each item, typically only a couple bucks, which will be used solely for site maintenance and upkeep. None of the "profit" goes into my pocket, or the pockets of the volunteers here at the site.

So.. let me know what you think.
Great looking design, job well done. I just ordered 2 t-shirts, and a beer stein.

i will deffiantly keep it in mind, I would order a black t-shirt if one comes around, as that is about the only t-shirt color I really do wear, dont look good in white, lol. But it all looks good so far !

an idea for a design, I was thinking something just along the likes of the 4th gen ss, outline drawing... someone on here has it in thier signature I believe.. have that with the montecarloss.com logo, in black, or reverse the colors to white, with a black background for the black shirt ? just a couple ideas !

the on-demand garment printing technology for black just isnt there yet. at cafepress, they sell the items, but they are still in the 'beta' stage. if you take some time and read the forums at cafepress about the black tshirts, youll see that what they show on screen and what you receive for a final product are too different things. the colors range is limited, very dull and muddy. the end result for the black shirts are just not good enough quality IMHO at this time. but as they improve, we can always try again.

Cool Monte stuff.

Maybe I'm coming in a bit late on this, but whatever happened to the 1:18th scale SS club Monte car? I was really looking forward to buying one. \:D

Now we need an LS in there

Get's my vote.

Just a few of suggestions
If it's possible mabey offer just the lower half of the first design with the logos I like that better, just a little clutttered with the 3 cars.

Also if we could get the mcss.com and the out line of a monte a SS, LS, SC, or Aerocoupe or just the site name.

Also if at one of the montes meets mabey we can get a pic of a SS, LS, SC and Aerocoupe and put it on a half cirle.

Just my ideas use 'em or not.

Any chance at other colors that black or white, like gray. And could a monte be photochoped to a differnet color? To get some color combos

Getting my order in now, so many choices

There is an ash grey shirt available. Pretty much the basic colors, white, black and gray that most shirts come in.

2) Future designs will also depend on the submitted images. For those wanting an Aerocoupe, we tried, but didn't come up with the right combination or quality of Aerocoupe images to have them included. Same will apply to non-SS and third gen entries.
I was looking for an Aero design : - (

I hope you guys don't stop trying for different monte designs. But still one great looking design!

Awesome site!

I have a question, how are the designs placed on the products. Is it stitched or sticker type material/iron on transfer? I was interested in the white or black hat but can't get a clear idea of how it will look when I receive it. Since the picture on the website is merely the monte image/picture on top of the hat image/picture.

I would imagine that it would have to be the iron on style.

I have seen some hats like that.

I think the golf shirt would look good with the design on the front only. Just my input. I love the items, already had to order the Ice Princess a tank top, shirt for her and and one for me.

not sure about the hats, but the shirts are a direct to print process which looks and wears alot better than the heat transfers.

heres a product idea for you to think about.

since some of us have other cars that act as daily drivers for one reason or another, how about a license plate frame. across the top it would say "My other car is a" and on the bottom it would say "Monte Carlo SS". since these products are for the upkeep of the site, in the left corner you could put "www." and in the right corner you could put ".com".

i understand that it may not be possible because of costs (i became very aware of cost minimization since i started working for black and decker) but i just thought it would be something cool.

any feedback?

More great feedback. Thanks all. More points to address.. questions to answer:

  • Janet suggested a different design layout for the Golf Shirt. I thought about that myself. The Golf shirt is one of the test products that I have in hand. The image on the back does look good.. but the shirt would also look good with just the front pocket design. That having been said.. we CAN setup unique configurations of the products. So, if you would like, for example, the Golf Shirt without the image on the back, I can set that up in a separate shop just for you. All you have to do is ask. Once the product is shipped, we can eliminate that special product from the other shop. So please don't feel limited by the product / design layout as shown in the current shop. We can have one-off design layout products.
  • I realize that there is a lot of interest in black shirts and other darker colors. We've addressed the limitations in the current offering. Until CafePress improves their offering, we won't be carrying the black shirt.
  • As I mentioned, I received a few test products before we opened the shop to make sure the quality was good. But, we couldn't order every product available due to the cost involved. As such, there may be a surprise quality problem with some of the products. CafePress does have a limited-time money back guarantee. So if you don't like what you've recieved, please take advantage of that offer. Also please let me know so I understand the issue. I may be able to adjust the design/product to overcome the quality issue.
  • The outline image of the SS that has been mentioned was designed by an unknown person long ago. As such we don't have the copyright and I'm not comfortable adding the image to any of our products.
  • There are no iron-on style products in the shop. All of the images are direct-print style. That means for a fabric based product, the ink is set directly into the fabric. So the design does not have that typical iron on feel. In fact, after a wash or two, I don't think you'd be able to tell where the design is by feel alone.
  • As for the 1:18 diecast from Welly, my contact from there stopped communicating. So I haven't had any updates on their product for over a year. But that's a topic for a different thread. I'd rather not muddy up this thread with that discussion... so please refrain.
  • As for the license plate frame, CafePress does offer that product. I didn't add it because the current design obviously didn't support the frame. I'll look into the design requirements for the license plate frame to see what kind of options we have.

Thanks again for the comments and suggestions!
