I've added a hack to the software that will alert you if you have new unread private messages. The notification is just below the "Hello, username [logout]" at the top of the forum summary page. Let me know what you think.
As always.. please report any bugs / quirks.

Good stuff Paul. This will be a nice feature as alot of people do not seem to have the PM email notification selected in their profile and never seem to read their PM's

Yes, in your profile, you will find an option to turn off email notification of Private Messages.
