Hello folks! It's that time of year again. I just paid the server bill for another year. The cost has been stable at $890.59/year for the past few years. I think our current server setup has served us very well, with great speed and very little outage time. Please consider contributing to the site maintenance fund a small amount to show your appreciation. Perhaps an amount similar to your favorite car magazine subscription. Really, any small amount is appreciated and will go directly toward site maintenance, like our server bill just paid. As a reminder, this site is a not-for-profit endeavor. The volunteer Moderators or Administrators (myself included) receive NO compensation of any kind from the site or authorized vendors. Please use the Paypal Donate button in the right hand column. If you prefer to contribute direct via check, please contact me privately for further instructions. Thanks in advance. PaulC Owner/Admin MonteCarloSS.com

Not seeing the Pay Pal button or a right hand column. I sent it using your instructions on the Contribution Page.

Thanks for all who have contributed so far. Normally I'd immediately set to the task of opening each email and posting names of the contributors... Unfortunately, my 2006 Trailblazer SS got stolen (AGAIN) from work today. Total bummer. It was stolen from the same lot at work back in July (I think it was July). $2000 in damage later I get it back to have another attempt theft here at home a month later. That time about $600 in damage. Well thanks to LowJack, the SS was recovered a little while ago and is being held for prints at a tow yard in a bad part of town. I don't know the extent of damage at this point.
Anyway.. I'm glad to get it back but I think I'm pretty much done with the Trailblazer SS now. Just a big hassle! I'm kinda down so I'm going to cut my evening short and get some shut-eye. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
Thanks again for all who have stepped up so far.

In case it helps anyone, I could only see the "donate" button at the upper right hand portion of the screen once I logged out. If you are having the same issue as I did and don't see a "donate" button, try logging out and see if that works. HTH

My guess would be that is caused by you having the Right column turned off in your settings.

I forgot some having the right column turned off. I've added the Donate button below (also added to the original post above).
P.S. I got the Trailblazer SS out of impound. The damage isn't as bad as the last time. Punched door lock, a bit of steering column damage and a broken RF cable going to the OnStar module. The thiefs reprogrammed the SUV to their own Key Fob remote (takes all of 15 seconds!). So they abandoned the SUV in a locked and alarmed state (funny!). Meeting with insurance on Monday. I'm thinking about having it repaired with the door lock key removed (using a rear door handle) to eliminate that option of entry.
Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays all.

PaulC sorry to hear about your SS being stolen. It is possible that thieves can take your vin number to dealership, create a fake title, and take that to the dealership to get keys cut as well. If I may suggest something, get a GPS tracker from Amazon for about $30. It is VERY simple to setup. Set it to text your phone as soon as your vehicle is out of a certain radius ie: 500ft. It will not stop your car from being stolen, but you'll be able to track is a minute after thieves take it. Did they tow your car or drive it away?

They drove it away. If you read post further down, the door lock was punched, alarm deactivated and they got into the steering column to start the engine. They reprogrammed the vehicle to their own key fob sometime thereafter. Recovered in 9 hours via LowJac. It's awaiting repair early next year.
