Today we hit a major milestone in the 86 Aerocoupe Registry (http://www.MonteCarloSS.com/86Aerocoupe.html). We registered our 100th 1986 Aerocoupe. That's 50% of the 200 built!

Many thanks to Keith & Dee Dhyne of Grand Rapids, MI for registering their 86 Aerocoupe (140718), which also happens to be one with a special dealer added red and white paint job (the second one found). We're trying to figure out which of the 200 they have, but based on the VIN alone, it's number 20 to 25.

If you happen to know someone with an 86 Aerocoupe and it is not in the Registry, please contact me, or have the owner contact me.

If they are all different cars (and no repeats) then that is one heck of a survival rate for a 26 year old car. Very impressive!

Here is the paint scheme that was dea;er prepped for the IROC races at Daytona IIRC. From the VIN series and where this particular car with the special paint scheme is located, I would almost be willing to bet it is from the first 20 produced and ran at Daytona. I odn't recall these cars pacing any other events, other than the intial IROC race.

Great to know they are still being located and registered. I was proud to own 2 of these 86's myself, and know the owners of them now are just as happy to have a little piece of history. More to come, keep searching!

These always seem to pop up in clusters. 101st was just added today (181178). It's the 157th out of 200 produced... original owner car. 99 to go!
