You have probably noticed a change in the location of the Who's Online list from the right sidebar to the top of the forum catagories. This was done because of a change in the way the Who's Online feature lists members. They're now listed alphabetically instead of based on last activity as in the past. Originally, the list was trunkated to show only the last 10 active users. Now with the alphabetical sort (hard coded in the software unfortunately), it would always show the first 10 alphabetical users instead of the last active. To get around this, the truncation was removed so now all users online (within the last 10 minutes) shows up. That grew the sidebar list considerably so I decided to try the 'above catagory list' option.
Until we can get the software developer to add a feature in to sort on the last activity in the who's online list, we'll have to use this method. Some may like it.. some may not. I think you'll get used to it.. and some long standing members will remember the list showing up there before we had side bars.
Also note, there is new functionality with the lastest software. Hover your cursor over the member's name in the Who's Online list will pop up a tool-top which shows how long ago they were active, which is similar to the action taken in the shout box where it will pop up a tool-tip showing you how long ago the shout was made. The Who's Online list at the top of the forum list is configured to show only those active in the last 10 minutes and refreshes every 3 minutes.
Comments welcome. PaulC

Ahhhh...the good old days. I'm liking it! I'm also pumped that the search seems to be improved as well.
