The Do-It-Yourself Forum is Now OPEN!!
Write-Up CONTEST!! To celibrate the kick off the new Do-It-Yourself forum here on MonteCarloSS.com, and to spur some activity there, we've decided to have a contest for the best technical write-up! There will be prizes for the top three articles, as chosen by the membership.
We want to thank the following Authorized Vendors for supporting and contributing prizes to this contest: MikesMontes, Mac-Ink Customs and MV85SS Powdercoat Services. In addition, prizes will be available from website merchandise.

A HUGE "Atta-boy" goes out to the vendors stepping up and supporting this great contest! This will be a great asset to this community for many years to come.
Good luck to all! And looking forward to seeing the DIY's to start rolling in.

Just a heads up to the 8 people who have tried to post in the forum so far: We are having some technical difficulties with it. Either something is wrong in the software, or the users (us mods) are dumb. I am not sure which. We are not ignoring you, we just have some bugs to work out.

Looks like a little OJT is required for approving posts. We'll cover this in the Moderator's forum.

Ok guys, when submitting a DIY post please put some time and effort into it. If you have said less than 3 sentences on how to change the spark plugs and consider it good, it is highly likely not to be approved.
List step by step instructions, pics are a plus for sure. List parts needed. List tools needed for repair/mod.
Think of it as explaining to your friend how to do this repair/mod and they have never used tools or done car repair. We tend to take things for granted. A good DIY article is written for ALL levels to understand.
Hope this help clarify and good luck to all in the contest!

We have had some great write-ups so far but time to enter the contest is running out! I know many of you have documented your upgrades here on the site, lets see them turned into a DIY article to help fellow members in the never ending quest of customizing out Monte Carlos..
