Last night at about 9:30 PM there was a direct attack against this site. It didn't take much investigation to trace the attack to Cole Fernandez, aka montecarlokid here on the board and/or his associates.

His IP has been banned, his membership been deleted, SS Exhibit entry and all photos deleted, and reference to his web site in the links page deleted.

Thank you for your patience and dilligence in dealing with that guy. I was dumbfounded when I saw the site yesterday.

Just so you know (beyond the obvious) why I am glad that you got rid of that guy - I access this site weekdays early in the morning (with my first cup of coffee), during lunch and in the evening before I go home from work. These accesses are through my company firewall. This firewall/proxy server monitors all activity. Obviously, some of the pictures and sound files that this guy put onto the message got some people's attention. My Internet access was shut off yesterday without explanation. When I came in today, it worked and I have not been contacted by our IT or HR groups - yet. However, our HR manager is currently at another deposition on another issue today. I am bracing myself for tomorrow morning.

This could be grounds for my dismissal in this company. It has been done before.

Hey Keith sorry to hear about that. I really hope you dont lose your job because of this guy and i hope you get through it ok too.

I am in a similar position as Keith. Good luck buddy. I hope this just all blows away and something like this doesn't happen again.

If you get dismissed for that than you need to ask yourself what kind of company you are working for. The internet is filled with stuff like this, and 80% of the time it happens by accident. Don't worry about your job, your Admin will see it was on MontecarloSS.com, which hardly is a porn site...

I understand your point, BelmontX. However, somehow our society has permitted the legal profession to dictate twisted interpretations of our laws to try to enforce "correct" behavior, no matter how senseless it may be. If you, or anyone you know, works for a big company and is in management (as I am) you understand exactly what I am saying. It's not right and it's not fair, but that's life. Whether I work for this company or another, the game is the same...
