Thanks to Jonesy25 (Brian), we've started down the road of making MonteCarloSS.com stickers available. Details are to be worked out that will be posted in a subsequent thread. What I need to know at this point in time is the interest level in these stickers.. along with what colors are desireable. From there, I can figure out what kind of quantity discount is available.

Each sticker is 10.5 inches long which is just right for the bottom of the side 1/4 window on an SS. The stickers say "www.montecarloSS.com". You can use these as is, or cut off the "www." part for it to just read "montecarloSS.com" (my preference), or cut off both the "www." and ".com" for a "montecarloSS" alone sticker. These are stickers for the outside of a window, although it will stick to any surface (like a helmet!).

Here is a picture of 6 sample stickers, along with color splotchs and a ruler for reference. Custom colors and sizes are available, but at a higher cost (no quantity discount).



Since MonteCarloSS.com is a not-for-profit entity, my plan is to offer these stickers at cost + shipping (approximate total around $6 for one sticker, $4 for each additional). My hope is that members will add a donation to the site when they send in the request.

If you are interested in these stickers.. please email pre-order@MonteCarloSS.com and indicate which colors you are interested in and how many of each. Again, at this time, this is pre-order stage only. I will not be taking names.. only color and quanity. Once I get an idea of the interest level, I will post again with a request for orders. Do not post pre-orders here! The only posts I want to see in this thread are comments on how the stickers look.

I like the design. However, in the pictures the letters have a washed out appearance. Is this just because of the scan? Or by design.

I think the letters should be very dark and opaque, not see through or washed out. This will give them the maximum visability.

Also, I'm assuming that they are printed on a clear plastic sheet so you dont see a background color.

I'll put em in my windows!

Jim, thanks for the question. I guess I should clarify. The stickers in the picture look washed out because you're actually looking at them through the backing.

The actual color of the sticker is shown in the color splotch on the right hand side. These apply just like those white Calvin stickers you see everyone with (I hate those). They are a die-cut sticker, so the only thing on the surface once the sticker is applied are the words themselves.

They are not printed on a clear sheet.. the only thing you are left with is the letters themselves. Just like the stock Monte Carlo SS decals on the door of an SS. Trust me, these are very striking in color and clarity. Eventually, I'll apply the sample stickers I have to a black plexiglass base to show them off better.

As of this morning (before I left for work), I had only received one pre-order. If there isn't the interest in these, I'll just produce a very limited number and distribute to those who have shown interest. Pre-orders will get first chance at the stickers produced.

Black is no problem. Haven't had any requests yet for black, but maybe that is because there isn't one listed. So Terri.. for you.. anything.

Remember to send an email for your pre-order to pre-order@MonteCarloSS.com . I won't be looking at this thread when I do the final count. So far I've heard from (via email) about 10 people.

I'm hoping to have the stickers available some time in July.

Sticker Update

So far, with 25 or so people responding, we have about 50 stickers pre-ordered. We have enough for the price break on the White, Red and Silver versions. The other colors will be available, but at a slightly higher (50 cents or so) price per sticker.

I will only be ordering a few more than what are pre-ordered in the popular colors, and no extras in the non-popular colors. Pre-orders will get first opportunity to pick up the stickers they want. Once they are gone, we'll have to wait for a second set of orders. So if you want these stickers, get your pre-order in to me at pre-order@MonteCarloSS.com . I will not have a large stock of stickers on hand for subsequent orders. My web site fund pool just won't allow for that. I'll be going a couple hundered in the hole for the first order until payments come in as it is.

Again, these stickers are being offered at cost, plus shipping since the site is a not-for-profit entity. Donations on top of the price given will be graciously accepted. The stcikers will be available some time in July. Stay Tuned!

Rhonda, off of the main page on the site, look for a link called 'Site Information'. Within that page is a section for the stickers, with the picture that you are referring to.

At the moment I have stopped all sticker sales to I can take inventory (one of the things on my list of to-do's). I don't have many left and don't want to over-sell. I will be putting in an order to have more manufactured soon.
