just wanted to drop u guys a line or two and thak you for such a great site my wife and I have a 86 coupe, that we accquired a year or so ago,staarting to work on it, just bought another 86 ss for parts, but my 10 year old daughter quickly called dibbs on i,lol! Anyway love the site ,plan on becoming a gol member soon..
Just purchased my Monte Carlo from a young man and his family in the community. Great shape, but will need some work. 152K on the odometer so I plan to overhaul the engine and transmission over the winter. Some cracks in the dash and eventually will redo the maroon interior. Body is in exceptional shape and will be the last project. Very pleased with the purchase and look forward to chatting with other owners and getting advise. Great site...

We are looking to sell my wife's car. She is the second owner and the car is ALL original, even the paint which they had troubles with in '83. It has 98,XXX miles on it, 305, V8. Only about 4714 were made in 1983 and production increased to 22,000 something in 1984. The color is blue and it's in great condition. Does anyone know where we might have luck selling her car?

I have a silver 87 Aero-cpe. Traded my 78 corvette for it in 91 and have had it ever since.It has 52000 mi. One repaint in 07, but other than that it is all stock and original. Amazing how they handle for the size of car. Also have the sister car to it, a 86 GP 2+2 with 17000 mi. They look nice setting together.

Picked up a 86 monte ss a guy was going to trade in on the cash for clunkers deal that was going on. Could not let him do it. Bought the car and it is now being restored at Rays Rods in New Ellenton SC. Putting a 350/450 hp under the hood and doing some work on the suspension. will put pics on the net later.

I have to sell my 1986 monte carlos ss with ttops it has a 350 engine and it runs excellent. The interior is in good condition but it needs some work. Just bought my second Monte, sold my first one 8 yrs ago and regreted it. Told myself, if I ave the opportunity to buy another in that condition would. Found my current monte in Rockingham,N.C. beautiful condition inside and out bright white stripes with t-tops. Gonna do a few suspension mods and headers true duals. thats all for NOW.

Firhb thest, Exccellant Site!! Just became a proud SS owner about 2 mnths ago, and am trying to find out some info on the car.. It was originally sold to a company in florida called Vigo conversions, I cant located neither them or the original chevy dealer in sanford florida... trying to find out if this a special order car or not .. i looked up pics on web and found one that is identical to mine .. no stripes , all black and just lettered decals.. car is all original and has black wheels like a trans am gta . any help will be appreciated, Thanks Al

i just bought a black 1986 monte carlo ss ttop and it doesnt have power windows or power locks however the 8th letter of the vin is a g did the montec come with manual locks and roll up windows? thanks Website Admin's answer: Yes, standard equipment on SSs were non-powered items such as door locks and windows. Powered door locks and windows could be (and normally were) ordered as options.
