Starting to poke around looking at Montes and Malibus. Doesn't look like I'll be finding my SS. Don't care what drivetrain is in it, I'm mostly interested in a solid body and frame. Most everything else will probably be changed to what I want anyway. PM me here or email at mclark083087 @ gmail.com. Don't want to travel way out to get either as I don't have a trailer and will have to pay a friend to drive out and get it.

A few thousand on a solid monte/malibu roller sounds reasonable to me. Gotta be worth it though. I looked at a malibu that the guy was asking 5000 for it. If the floors hadn't been ate up even though he told me it was 100% solid before I went to look at it I probably would've bought it. But I'm going to be picky. I'll wait for what I want to start a new project on.

Someone had offered me another blue/blue 84 SS. As much as I appreciated the offer, I don't want to 'replace' my car. Haven't truly decided if I even want another SS, depends on what I run across. If I do get another SS, I would like to stay away from the maroon interior. Just not my favorite.

If you are looking for one I will let the member know who messaged me and they can decide if they want to offer it to you.

I check craigslist and racing junk daily. Lot's of nice cars but I don't want something that's already done. Then I'm paying for stuff that I'll just be selling off anyway to make it my own. Looking for a stock unmolested car if one can be found with a solid body.

I have a VERY clean 84 SS hardtop roller. White outside with Blue interior. There is no motor/trans in it right now. The floors are NOT rusty. The frame is NOT rusty. The dash is almost perfect.Bucket seat car but, the driver seat needs attention. The carpet was junk. The passenger seat, door panels and dash are fine. No rust in the trunk and none in the quarters around the wheel wells. No cracks in the front bumper cover or the rear spoiler. I was planning on building it but, now I have 4 projects so this one would be about what you are looking for.

I can't get pictures to post but, if you email me at wolf82xthree87@aol.com I can send you some pics.
I'm in St. Louis, MO and the car has a clean open Missouri title.

www.mautofied.com may help for a bunch in the area. The local ones are gone to the scrapyard, but with summer coming, new ones are popping up all over

They have a red 79/80 malibu. If its the one I think it is, it was on the verge of being swapped to a tpi 350 before the owner let it go. Was decently solid, floors had two small holes, but if the pirce is right...might be worth it.

I think this is the one you're talking about. Never went and looked at it though because it looks like the passenger side quarter has a crease down the side in the second pic.

NM, for that price, they are out of their damned mind. I know that they bought it for less than 800 bucks and haven't done a thing with it. The bad, now that I have a few pics to reference was that his lawnmower or something drug down the passenger side (thats what you see on the back) and the trunk didn't close correctly or at all because of the filler panel piece? If you do get it, I woulnd't go in offering anything more than 500-600 bucks.
