So I've looked on summit and can only seem to find the cables for a column shift....

Am I just not seeing it?

After I started to out everything back together for my motor swap, it seems as though the trans cable housing pulled out of the short metal sleeve at the end where it meets the rubber boot(hope that makes sense). Shifter will go from park to low easily, but when you try to go back to park, the cable and insulation pull out of the sleeve and won't move the bracket.

Is there a fix for this or do I need a new cable? If I need a new one are there any recommendations?

Yeah, don't buy one from AutoZone, the Dorman brand are crap, Pioneer & ATP brand are better.
Cable Info >> http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/shifter-cable-thread.381807/ and here http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/shift-cable-length.348173/

And Column shift cars don't have Shift cables, Linkage only.
Floor shift cars have Cables but, also have Linkage from Trans to Column for Gear Indicator, Column Lock, Neutral safety switch & Backup lights.

If you can find a GM/OEM cable it's worth the $$.

Mine didn't snap, but rather the cable housing pulled out of the metal sleeve that holds it in place.

Crawl under the car and see if the cable has pulled out. While your under there you can manually put the tranny in park also.

Its easy.remove shifter plate, pull the center console. bolts are in the bottom inside console. after that it is pretty straight forward. its been a while since i had the automatic so i can remember what the steps are in order
