Hey all, I wanted to open the doors and welcome everyone to look at what goes into these, It's really my new favorite thing to do.
Cut all sides, bolsters etc. To get a padded look and tighter fit glue to 1/4 inch HD sew foam to all pices then stitch along the edge then trim the pink foam away. Pleats get sewn one at a time then add the piping(welt) Attach the two tone bolster Sides go on then the back, starting to look like a seat Sometimes you can follow your first line sometimes you have to do it blind
wow this is some cool stuff!! that takes talent and patient..i like the doors you have in your sig, i have seen those on ebay but cant find them now, i think the seller has them for under the hood and the inside of the trunk lid.
--Ryan--87 SS-- Had it for a week and was hit by someone not paying attention, car is totalled, waiting for some insurance money so i can get a new monte.
Wow, thanks for the walk-through, it's cool to see the fabricating and attention to details it takes to make these. I think they are the best option for anybody looking into an 83-85 seat cover, since there are few or no sources for material for those years, I know the 83-84 blue is non-existant. I really like the 2 tone w/pipping, it looks outstanding, and is a great custom touch!
