fronts are 255...gonna be a 275 soon...and the rears are 295/35/18

Nice work. My goal is to be trying some of these autocross events next year. I am focusing on suspension right now. I am sure the first time running a autox can be nerve racking.

Just remember to be smooth...look ahead through the cones to the next set of turns...and relax. You will be fine.

What impressed me with your runs was the way the rear of your car stayed settled braking hard into the corners, and how flat the front stayed.

Your suspension setup is a big improvement over stock for sure, congrats.

Rollinwithlilly, I did my first autocross event this past summer. I was nervous at first just from not knowing what to expect. When it came time to walk the course I found a guy that acted like he knew what he was doing and latched onto him. He showed me what to look for all around the track and how to handle certain things on some of the corners and really helped me out.

Then it was just a matter of going out, getting the feel for the course and how your car reacts to it and going from there.

Nothing to be afraid of at all.

Thanks for the compliment! It has been a big undertaking with this suspension set up. I am constantlly tweaking and tuning it and I think it is finally pretty good. You can see what all I have done in my build thread "Project Sicmonte". I have a much more in depth build thread on pro-touring.com. Same project name.

Sweet set up. I have 255 and 275 on my Aero. The 255 are a taller than yours but I wish I had room for some 275s. Some day I will mini tub the rear of mine to match the frame notch.

Love the wheels and stance, how does she feel in the corners? How much room for improvement do you think you could get out of your current suspension set up or what is currently available on the market? Curious how cost efficient it would be to build the monte for the track... Thanks in advance!!!

Car feels amazing in the corners...it sticks and responds very well to driver input. The only thing I plan to do this winter to improve the responce of the suspension is to get the RideTech coilovers in the front and rear. That way I can individualize the spring rates according to the corner weights and have better adjustment on the shocks. I will tell you one thing...it is VERY EXPENSIVE to correctlly build up one of these cars for track duty. I have gone a little bit overboard, but then again my car see's autoX and track time quite often. I have the cage...the fixed back racing seats...the five point CORRECTLLY INSTALLED harness's...the big brakes for high speed stops...the engine mods for the track...the tuneable suspension for varying track conditions...it adds up quickly but my safety in the car is my number one priority.
