Jeff, I found that taking off the front clip is ok with two people but three really would make it easier. These are the steps I used. TAKE PICS OF EVERYTHING PRIOR TO REMOVAL.

1. Remove hood
2. disconnect all wiring harness from light sockets and remove all wiring connections from the core support.
3. Disconnect battery and remove
4. Disconnect tranny lines from radiator
5. Disconnect entire cooling system from radiator, remove radiator from core support
6. Remove top, bottom and side fender bolts w/shims and label each to where they go and place in individual plastic bags
7. Remove inside bolts for inner fender that connects to body
8. Remove the 8 bolts (4 per side) off bumper support
9. Remove two core support bolts under radiator
10.Remove but not necessary front tires (makes it easier to lift off rather than up and over the tires.

I think that about covers it all. If I missed something I am sure someone will chime in and catch it. I hope this helps.

With two people we made it work, me and eric...but heres a few things to do, one, make sure you check and check and check again. If you can get the tires off, it is one less thing to get stuck on when pulling the clip forward. We had a bit of a hard time moving things around and makign sure things are loose. Also, eric forgot the antenna wire wink passenger side fender. The bolts weren't that hard, it was making sure that all the hoses and wires were disconnected

take lots and lots of pictures for re-assembly!And if you can put the bolts back in the hole ( along with the spacers) that they came out of would be a good idea.

Otis, I did forget the antenna wire huh. I guess I need to mod my instructions.

DSMonteSS, it sure does help to have it all labeled. I was able to replace every bolt back in it's proper location. I did have to scrounge up a few. I made the mistake of painting all the bolts and some got mixed up with others. That was a lesson learned. I think me and Otis had to take it off once or twice to get it aligned real good. The other thing is when you replace the core support bushings like I did with all the body bushings. It can create a bit of resistance since the old ones are collapsed and the new ones aren't. It took some persuasion but we got it done. And it only costed me one spot of chipped paint on the lower passenger fender and door. Right Otis poke

Yeah, make sure you take your time on the jams and use two people to check fitting around the doors and hood before you fully close them (I'd reccomend putting tape on both sides so you don't chip them). Yes, I remember the chip Eric, still feel bad about it. Taking pictures and labeling thins is huge, and the body bushings/core support pushings were a pain in the rearend, but the end result was awesome.

Just giving you a hard time Otis. No harm since it is going to be re-painted here in the future sometime. I am hoping to pick up a 4" cowl next weekend for the car.

Motor is in didn't get the front back on due to replacement of radiator support bushings. They looked ok, but might as well why I have the front off.

I am about to try this myself. I think putting the new motor in would be a lot easer if removed. Does the front bumper come off with it, or do you have to remove it first? I know this is an old topic, but if anyone can add any additional advise, please do.
Keith
