Im looking for one of these for my dirt track car... My car doesnt currently have a alternator and I dont want to start this season charging my battery between races. So I guess I need a 1 wire and the cheapest possible as I need to get brackets too. Anyone know how I can do this, hell I would even buy a used alternator from someone but cant find one...

I cant imagine a junkyard charging you too much for an alt, bracket, and wire (if you need that).

What motor are you using?

1986 white / gray bucket / t-top SS / Hecho 350, Performer intake, CCC, TES to Flowmaster 2.5", stock open rear.

Just enough to embarrass my wife, and not enough to get me into trouble.

Its a 1978 305 with 1985 305HO heads... Closest junkyard to me is a hour away and at that rate I might as well buy a new one... Hence looking for the cheap alternative...

Your fellow racers at the track can't help you with some parts?

Im pretty sure i have an alt and all the brackets kicking around from a stock SBC chevy its not a one wire but will work. Im busy all weekend but if i get a chance i can run to autozone and have the alt tested. Id let it all go cheap a few bucks for my time and shipping. If your interested let me know. If for some reason i forget email me at P_Newcomb81@yahoo.com.

Well after buying a set of heads for my motor im building for the car they are 461 Double humps with no accesory holes drilled so I need to run a water pump alternator mount. So im just going to buy the alternator and mounting kit on ebay.

Appreciate it tho
