First off I'm new here,I have an 83 monte with a professional built 355.I know very little about rear ends but I'm interested in the mustang 8.8,I can't seem to find a full write up on it but I'm still looking. What I would like to know is what do you do about the wheels?Do you keep gm in the front&ford in the back or is there a way to convert the front discs to ford or rear to gm?&What about the yoke&driveshaft how will those fit?Well thanx in advance guys.

.. You can run two bolt patterns, or redrill for Chevy pattern... there are doughnut spare tires floating around with BOTH bolt patterns so you can use on front or back... I think the Ford & Chevy braking systems use much different pressures, so that needs to be accomodated... the rear u-joints may be the same, but the driveshaft length has to be changed... 8.8's come in a variety of widths, depending on the vehicle used in...
