wow, chapter number...48...at what 500 posts per...yeah, we're a chatty lil group down here aren't we. How many were here for the very first one? Some have gone away, but many more seem to have joined in. It's great to see so many Monte-thusiasts in the SMCC now. Good morning/afternoon, all. Had a great time in Colorado last week. Stephanie's graduation was at Red Rock Amphitheater, for anyone who's familiar with the area. It was quite impressive. I spent a lot of time with her and enjoyed every minute. August is approaching and she'll be coming up here for college. I can't wait. Spent the last 3 days of my vacation at a friends cabin, sitting on the porch, listening to the river rush by. It was incredibly relaxing.

My annual trip to the mountains has yet to happen too, family reunion on my Dad's side. It's near the end of July.
Sure feels like summer here today, temp of 85 and it feels like the humidity is in the air too.

No, I'm not unemployed. I got my old job back that I had for six years. I started Monday. I do not remember if I posted about it. But I went and put in a application and while I was there the plant manager seen me and hired me back on the spot.
I have sick time owed to me from my old job. I was going to collect it this week and get a little extra cash. I called in Monday and took one day. When I called in Tuesday to take another I was told to come get my tool box. I figured they found out about my new job and laid me off.

Everything happened really, really quick. I put in a application just so I could say I didn't try. Everything went from there.
But to me I'm back home. This is a place I can have a career, not just a job. I have had a warm welcome back from old co-workers and managers.
I found out today that I'm the only one in the plant that knows how to build a certain option.

What is this long weekend you speak of? LOL j/k
We went 6 weeks without a drop of rain. The hay fields were begging for rain. Now, it's been raining nearly every day for the past 2 weeks and we can't catch a break long enough to get it cut, cured and in the barn. Feast or famine...

Home? Yes, I'm ready to head home. Unfortunately, I'm only headed to lunch.

Afternoon folks, everyone ready to head home? I'm there! I also learned something really cool last night. I have a 2002 blazer. I can install around a 98 350 vortec into it and all I have to do is reprogram the computer and add two wires for the other two injectors. How simple is that? But I want a 99+ 4.8 to drop in it.

To add to what Gwen said, take time to honor the Flag if you come upon a Parade in progress.
