Glad to see we made it. Got a new computer system at work and the server keeps crashing. I know it HAS to get better with time, but it has been one of those weeks you just want to write off.

Seems that a car theft ring here in J'ville is busted. Last month someone stole Modern Tire's 86 GMC rollback. That same night/early morning, a 68 Camaro was also stolen. About a week later, Wayne Odum's rollback was stolen with an older Corvette loaded on it. Seems that he was called to tow a car from a neighborhood and he didn't unload it right away. Also last month, an 08 or 09 Mustang was stolen in my neighborhood. Well, they found Modern's rollback in Arkansas along with the Camaro, the Corvette and Wayne Odum's rollback were found at a shipping container site along with 4 other stolen vehicles. The Corvette and other cars were in shipping containers. The Corvette that was on Wayne Odum's rollback was stolen when he towed it from the neighborhood. Seems that maybe the thieves followed him and took both vehicles because it was faster and safer for them that trying to get the Corvette off the rollback.

So, just waiting for the full write up in the paper. Here is the current article

Morning. Working six hours overtime this morning to help pay for window tint for the monte. After five years I might finally get it done.

You sure its not going to pay for Kims haircut.

Good morning everyone.

Starting a 3 room remodeling project today.
Time to update the extra bedroom, living room and play room.
Replacing doors, moving doors, drywall, paint and flooring.
What have I got myself into?

Trouble Ken... BIG trouble. LOL I'm sure you can handle it. You do have some help coming over, don't you?

No big plans this weekend. Just the usual grass cutting. It's been really dry, but the good rain we got this week sure did make the grass jump. Now, if the hay would just jump so we can get it in the barn.

Sounds like you are in big trouble Ken, that is a big project. You will be just fine with it. Well it is official, I am now in Lemoore, California for the next couple years. Sea duty and the Navy! All will be good, the time will fly by and I can get back to regular life and maybe retire from the Navy.

Actually its not to bad to start, we have most everything down off the walls and put away. I have to close in a double door to make it a single and build another door jamb where an opening used to be that i want a door. I have a Monte friend that does drywall and he is kinda slow so we worked out a deal so he is coming Monday to do all the mudding and taping to get it ready for paint. When he is done Wednesday then my work comes. I am taking out the sliding glass door in the back and changing to a set of French doors. I need to order it a custom size so it will take 7-10 days to arrive.
Next weekend will beging all the hard work.

Nick,I keep a long drywall and sheetmetal screw at the shop for broken orifice tubes.Try screwing one in and pull it(or pieces) out.Works real good most times.

Shauna would be my guess.

Nick, there is a tool made to remove the orifice tubes, see if the local parts franchise will loan you one. Good Luck.

It is way too HOT out!! So far, I heard like 5 people near the beach had heat stress or heat stroke. I havent been there, but thats what some radio stations and alot of people are saying, I think they may be giving out free water, or maybe just a small discount or something.

I tried to cut the lawn, but by the time I got to the side, it just got too hot, I was planning on going to work on some other peoples yards with some friends (rich peoples yards!), but I think they may stay in.

Hope everyone stays cool and has water!

Morning all! Couldnt sleep at all...

I was working so hard yesterday, that everything hurt, and by the time I tried to fall asleep, I was still drinking water. Yesterday was like heat stress/heat stroke weather, I'm really hopeing that today wont be as bad, maybe the rian clouds will come back out (not only was it hot nearly the whole day, but at the end of the day it poured down so bad).

Its been getting worse outside. I figured at night, the temp. should go down alot, WRONG(!!!), it prolly went down like 5F, maybe less.

Well, I'm just going to have to suck it up, and get back to work to make the money.

Morning everyone wave

Definitely hot this weekend; we had a high of 108* Friday. It's hard to breathe down here when it gets that hot.

We've had a front come through and it cooled things down to around 80, with nice drizzle. It's all coming to an end though. Hi's will be back in the upper 90's by tomorrow. It was a nice break, while we had it.

I have a question.
I'm looking into buying a vacuum pump. All the descriptions I have read talk about "ultimate vacuum" and then say 50, 75, or 100 microns.
I suppose every pump will pull around 30 inches of mercury. But what does the micron size matter?

Well, microns are minutely small particles and the term is usually used to explain how good a filter medium is as to how low the micron number it will filter out of the liquid.

Agreeed, micron is usually used as how effecient a filter is. The smaller the number the better the filter.
