Does anyone know what size the dash speakers are and where I could purchase a pair? I thought the correct size was 3-1/2" but Crutchfield doesn't carry that size so I figured I'd make sure that's what size they are here first.

They must be discontinued, I tried searching for "3.5" speakers" and "3-1/2" speakers" and the only thing I could find were insulators for the stock size speakers.

Hmmm, search for '87 and it only shows front door, kick panel and rear deck as speaker locations in the speaker catagory. Looked up an '83 and it also lists the dash location. OK

Did you bolt the dash speakers to the factory covers?

Jeff, speakers do bolt to the speaker cover. The original size with small magnets can still be installed and removed without pulling the dash. With sightly larger magnets and different depths (as in some Kappas) may require loosening the dash and pulling away from the windshield glass, or even, on the right side, trimming a bit of the vent ducting to get the dash to slide back in.
