steve 1961 Junior Member Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 14 maryland	I am having trouble locating a new sending unit for a 4.3 fi tank. I have ordered from advance twice and the sending unit is not like the factory one. the 1/4 and5/16 lines look right but the 3/8line is just a slip fitting whereas mine is a threaded nut. the part number from advance is a spectra #fg08a. Is this what I will have to use? napa does not list one. my car is a 1987 pontiac grand prix with 4.3 fuel injection. thank you for taking time to read this, I know long post. Steve

Try to find a Delco dealer in your area as they should have the correct fitting on the end. All were slip on with a "bubble" on it to keep it from slipping off once the clamp is on. I'm not saying this is what I purchased for sure but it has the right pic at least : ) To find it I looked up the sending unit for an 86 4.3L Monte Carlo. Tunedss86 15+ Year Member Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 2,461 Eastern Virginia	The one that I have use a 1/4" line for the return & a 5/15" for a vent. 1/4" line goes down past the pump to return fuel back into the tank without a lot of splashing & the 5/16" one ends up near the top to only get fumes. Are you guys seeing the same thing? Street & Performance told me I need to use a 5/16" as the return, but have used the 1/4" as the return with no problems.
