I finnaly got around to installing both the lower and upper control arms. The install went fairly smooth. While the parts were out i took the chance to clean them up and por-15 them. The guy that pressed in my bushings (del-a-lum) said they were the tuffest bushings he ever had to press in \:D

Here's a few pics

All my parts cleaned up. That is the 36mm hollow bar of a camaro, and of course the b-body spindles and dust sheilds

Here is a close-up of the "curv" i talked about earlier in this post. It proved not to be a problem.

Spindle Install Snag

I have run into a problem today when trying to install my spindles. I got the spring in (which was fairly easy with air tools) and then i put the spindle on the lower balljoint with no problem. The problem came when i tried to put the upper balljoin into the spindle. The balljoint was too big for me to slide through the spindle. Whats wronge? The upper arms and balljoints im using is part# 15-0809-5R (the upper arms) and part# 40-3200 (for the balljoints)

Did i get the wrong ball joints? Perhaps they got the invoice right, but sent me the wrong parts. How can i identify the ubmachine arms and balljoints as the correct ones for the part numbers i ordered?

Or perhaps my spindle is wrong? The casting number on the right hand spindle is 369056-RH and the left hand is 369055-LH. Where can i identify these spindles using these casting numbers?

Thanks for any insight

Update!

According to this guy from the turbo buick board i have the correct spindles for the swap.

What could be wrong? I hope its simple like my balljoints.

Any help or ideas are appreciated, as im really at a loss of what to do next.
