Still sounds like a car that most of us can only dream of, and I'm sure you will love it. For absolute performance, I think there's other starting points that we can all agree would be better than a G (of course, none of us would agree which starting point is "Best"), but between the type of work you are doing, the quality standard it will be done to, and the story of the car, this will be an amazing build that I know I'm looking forward to.
Someday I'd love to be able to drop that kind of money on a car, but for pretty much all of us here, I doubt that's in the cards right now.

Hi Hunter, Thanks for the positive encouragement. The car will be very pretty when done, and your correct. I’m still very fortunate to have the resources to finish the build too a fairly high level. Age does have a couple benefits, time and a little money to play with. Regards, Ron

Looks like fun. Will you add Miracle-Gro to your frame (couldn't resist!)
TQ on that motor: the curve looks flat and broad, always a good sign. You're well beyond a 50% torque bandwidth.

This week the frame comes in and the car moves to the shop where the rotisserie resides. Won't be long and we can see how pretty I can make her again.

I know it's been a while but I have been busy. Once my house is finished with new windows and siding my wife has agreed to let me focus on the Monte build. I will schedule 50 hours a week every week starting in October to completely redo the Monte Carlo finally!

It's coming close to D day for this cars rebuild. I ordered a high torque GM LS7 starter, 3 bolt heat shield, Flexplate, GM hardware, dust shields for the starter and Transmission. I'll get the GM performance 6L80E transmission at Christmas time or when the frame is ready for engine, trans, and exhaust fitment. I might ditch my Holley G body headers for the 2015 Z28 exhaust manifolds and cats, with that and a little work on the EVAP system I think she shouldn't stink, if it fits??

I know someone that might be interested in those Holley headers if you decide to sell them. Show us pics of all the brown boxes arriving, it'll be like Christmas in September!!!

Yeah I'll get some pictures soon, I got the engine management system a few days ago to. Not sure if you know anyone in need of a T56 magnum set up, everything except the bellhousing I have new, LS flywheel.
