Welcome. Nice looking 6th Gen (2000-2007). This is a dedicated 4th Gen Monte Carlo SS (1983-1988) forum. We do have a few members with regular 4th Gen Montes (1981-1988), 3rd Gen Monte Carlos (1978-1980) since the platforms are so similar, and a few 1978-1988 G-Body members with computer controlled 4th Gen SS transplants.
I believe one or two members may have mentioned owning a 6th Gen, but replies to specific 6th Gen questions will probably be limited at best here. That’s not intended to run you off, just giving you a heads up if you don’t get many or any replies about a 6th Gen.
Original owner - 1985 SS black hardtop w/gray interior. Frame-on restoration in progress. 406 sleeper w/modified FIRST TPI, 1.875" headers and dual 3.5" Borla exhaust. TH400, Ford 9", anti-roll bar, and notched frame. Dropped 2", 18" wheels, and F/R disk brakes. 10-point cage w/swing-out bars, custom gauges, and custom, audiophile stereo system.
