who has a bodymount in worse condition than this?








this is a bodymount bolt removed from the rear of my 86 monte..
the mount had rusted through and was just dangling there.
under the rubber was this.
its only .03 at the thinnest spot but still intact.
the funny thing is i can remember the exact time that i believe it started its decline.
it was at least 20 yrs ago and the car was flooded up to that point in salt water.
i washed it like crazy after this right away and didnt really see any other bad effects from it.
this mount must have held the salt water in it.
i pulled this about 3 yrs ago.
this monte has 520,000 miles on it.
ive put around 400 k on it myself.

Was that assembly pulled out of the bottom through the rotted body/frame or did you cut a hole in the trunk? We've done two sets in similar shape in the past two years. Both had less than 200 thousand miles.
