Try tightening up the center caps first and see if the rattle goes away. Its possible that you may have a bad suspension rubber bushing somewhere as they can dryrot from just the passage of time regardless of miles driven. Look for any rotted appearing bushings. May also try jacking each front wheel up and then jiggle them for any looseness.
