i have the bottom out and the torx bolts out of the upper one.
it will lift ouward but i cant get the top onhooked.
any good tricks?
86 ss 86 cl,330hp GM vortec cratemotor-700-r trans worked,ford 9.5 inch rear with 3-50s,custom 3 inch exhaust with flowmasters.

Push the top of the seat back in as you pull up from underneath.

i got it out.
several writeups say its just like the bottom latch where you have to push down and back but the upper one is just like a hook and it just needs to come straight up.
i looked down from the top and saw the 3 latches.you can easily just pry them out a bit with a screwdriver to make it easier.
i removed it to repair some rust under the passenger side but found that there was basically no floor at all left on that side under the rug and seat.
i had to fab up a new floor from sheetmetal i had.
all good now!
