Original owner of 85 SS that’s mostly original. The evap hose from the canister to the carb absolutely disintegrated, and I’m looking for an OEM looking replacement. After 37 years, the current GM replacement hose looks nothing like the original, and I think it even has green printing on it.
The original is a 3/8” hose..I can’t read the now obliterated part number off it, and the only markings I can make off it is “GM - 6148 - M” (in white) which is not the part number, but is reference to the type of rubber used, which is resistant to gas and oil.
The only thing I’ve been able to find is some OEM hose for a Grand National, which is a different diameter.
Any leads appreciated…

If you can post a picture of that hose. Some of us have boxes of saved stuff from stock 80s cars.

I did contact Mike from Mikes Montes yesterday. He’s always been a BIG help to me in the past, and told me he would check through his stash. Haven’t heard back yet.
I assumed somebody out there has done an engine swap, removing all the emissions hoses, and if they are a pack rat like me, may have the parts laying around.
I’ve got to review how to post pictures again, my old photo bucket account is expired.

These are the pictures of the hose that Jack (85 Monte SuperSport) is looking for. I have a box of hoses off of my 88 that I will search through this evening when I get home.

Here is mine off my 88, you are more than welcome too it. You pay for the ride which shouldn't be much. Not sure if it's long enough it's 28 3/4"[Linked Image]

Thanks for the follow up..and FWIW, I think I broke the code…the 6141-M is the type of rubber used (I found that with a little bit of research) I think the other number is the manufacture date. In your case, it would be Sep 9th, 1987. In the case of my beat up hose, it now looks like the number is 021885..which would translate to Feb 18th, 1985…and I KNOW the car was manufactured at the end of Feb or early March 1985.
I’m out of town, but I’ll see if the length will work. I know the 87s and 88s were a bit shorter than earlier years as the layout was a little different.
