Hey guys
Replacing my steering box on my ‘86 Monte Carlo because it leaking like a sieve! Have not decide what to replace it with, so any suggestion would be great. My question is..is it worth having my original rebuilt just to have a spare or maybe sell?

Keep your original, and if possible, rebuild it. With right tools it's not that hard.

Whatever you do, don't sell it or replace it. Our stock box supposed to be the best one.

Here's some background on the special SS and non-SS steering boxes.
OP may have a 605 box if it's not an SS.
