Keep the CCC Qjet, I use and recommend www.customrebuiltcarbs.com I have had him do two E4ME carbs and basically they were just bolt on and go. Your carb will look and run like new, click on my link and give him a call!! Welcome to the BEST 4th gen site in the net!!

Its also illegal to delete the computer controlled carb.
SBC powered 1987 Regal with TES headers, ZZ4 intake, ZZ4 PROM chip, mini starter, THM2004R, 2500 stall converter, 2040 cam, CCC system, and 3.73 posi rear.
2008 ex NPS P71 Crown Victoria, cop motor, cop shocks, cop brakes, and Jmod.
Never argue with an idiot. They will just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure about these CCC being better, but when keeping the computer around, it's ultimately cheaper and easier to get another CCC carb or have yours rebuilt.
I removed my CCC back when I got my SS. I went with a Holley 670 and an old school distributor with a melonized gear. I removed the cruise control linkage and blocked off unused vacuum ports - like for tank vapor recycling, etc, and had to go with a bowtie overdrives transmission lockup module.
If I had to do it again, I'd have kept the CCC and worked through the issues I was having - which is similar to yours in that some linkage was missing/broken.

How much does custom rebuilt carbs or a place like that for a rebuild for a quadrajet? I think I paid right at $450, click on my link and call and ask, www.customrebuiltcarbs.com good luck! It's much more that a rebuild, it's a recondition and if you've made upgrades to your engine, they'll take care of that too!!
