CELEBRATING 20 YEARS!

The timing might not be the best but I thought I might as well post now, not expecting anything to come of it right away, but if the right one was available I’d make it happen.

Looking for a white with saddle 87’ (notchback only) or 88’ SS with t-tops and bucket seats, the more options the better but those are the only dealbreakers it has to have. The more original the better, I don’t want a basket case or too much of a project if any. Turn key and stock are what I’m after, not needing a full or much restoration. Not too many out there but hopefully someday (the right) one comes along. Would be willing to travel or have it transported so location doesn’t really matter.

They pop up time to time in the various FB groups I'm in, but not for sale usually, just members cars. A white roller (with t-tops) is in Chicago now but too much of a project and too many questions for me and his price is pretty out of line (IMO). Good luck to our searches, if you're open to black that should widen the net quite a bit.

Paul and Kevin, I posted maybe 4 years ago after visiting Mike Kramer at Mikes Montes following NMCOA meet. He has two never driven (hardtop) bodies on a rack in storage. I believe at least one is white and tan. Original frame and drive used by GM for Avantis. Set up on other frames as rollers. Insides still have plastic. Maybe 20 miles on odometers if even that. He thought about selling body and interiors separately (maybe $5K each?). Call him if interested. Keep me posted if you call.

Thanks Gordon. I was at Mike's a couple times in the last few years and checked them both out. One was maroon inside, the other gray I believe or maybe it was maroon as well, I took some pictures...for sure not saddle . I recall he took the time and hassle to get one legally registered, he might of sold it or the other one since that time, I forget where they were last. But it was cool to see them first hand, even as a parts donor you basically get a brand new interior and/or body. Think both had donor frames since Avanti took the rolling chassis out of the original SS. I also think he said he knows of some others out there, maybe not far from the Indiana area where the Avanti's were made.

I tried talking Mike out of one of the radio delete plates, first time seeing a 86-88 style one.
