Everything original no codes. 305 I don't want to tell you wrong so I will wait for others to come in. It might take a little while, forum doesn't get much traffic but when it does lots of people that are knowledgeable. If it was a code I might be able to help. Going off what you said above first thing I would look at is the coil but might be a complete dead end.

Welcome to the BEST site on the net. Has the car ever had a complete tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, along with the gas filter in the carb?? Now would be a good time to take care of the rest of the work. Good luck!!
