Is there a detailed procedure for window adjustments on these cars.
Drove myself nuts yesterday, but understand the various adjustments.
I'm just having trouble with the correct or factory method.
Seen the vague YouTube videos, but figuring there has to be a way other than the "tinkering method"
Dixie covers the up limits and felts, but there are other adjustments I found that kind of made it worse.

Get yourself a Fisher Body Service Manual, usually can be found on ebay for $15.
This is the one I have. You can't live with a G body without the manual

Dennis Kirban, he has a website for Buick Regal parts, sells a book by Pete Serio on how to adjust G-Body windows.

Fred - does it give hints on how to make the replacement window seals at the roof (esp with t-tops) seal tight and quietly???? Have you used it? Comments please if so.

Mike's Monte has the book also.

The doors, sweeps, seals, hinges, glass, and a bunch of other stuff effect those damn window leaks. A year ago pulled both doors off and refreshed everything. Getting no air leaks is still a battle I haven't won. The window seals are the problem. Old eventually leak, new replacement seals are a PITA to get even close to good. Some reading about the project here:
http://www.montecarloss.com/community/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1060570&page=4

The top driver's door hinge is the place to start, make sure the bushings are still good. Just a little door sag and the glass gets out of align. Adjusting the door closing latching alignment need to be correct. Also window sweeps play a big part in the seal.

There are numerous glass adjustments locations for the window tracks, some not obvious. Never found a good video for help, some not good advice. Even the service manual is vague on adjustments. It's a trail and error because a little adjustment in one place may effect another point of glass seal. Work on Up to make the glass hit the seal equally across the top first, then tilt to get a good seal along the length, you can go up or down from there. At the front of the glass by the mirror and the top 90 degree corner is where I find it's most difficult to get a good seal.

If you have the door apart for adjusting make sure the window felts and the guide are in good condition, they are a big part of the sealing and tilt of the glass.
