Was the bottom, sides and partial top of fuel tank and straps painted black or have undercoating applied from the factory?

Has anyone found a replacement tank that is the factory 18.1 gallons?

Are the 3 short rubber hoses that are connected to the fuel sending unit molded or would they have taken on that shape over time?

Hmmm... Not sure on all of those but I know I have a pretty good take out tank from a 1985 MCSS sitting here. The 3 short hoses are molded this I'm sure. The 306C tank from Rock auto is a direct replacement.

My OEM tank was bare galvanized steel, straps look like they were painted black. If it has undercoating on it, that was aftermarket.
I now have a GN tank.
