Anyone have any suggestions on how to separate the tail light housing in our SS's? I looked for a thread on here but didn't see one.

I have been wanting to replace my taillight lenses for some time now. So I bought a spare set and messed around with that one. I separated the lens from the housing by using a razor and cutting the sealant all around then carefully using a thin flat blade screwdriver and prying the housing loose a little at a time. Take your time. The sealant is flexible. After you get the two parts separated, use needle nose pliers or tweezers to pull off the remaining sealant. Not sure what to use when re-assembling them though.

This kit requires separation of the lens from the housing?

I talked to Mikes Montes about it, he sends to kits to the place that builds his new lenses and they install them during the building process, seems like best case scenario to me.
