Hi all,

Getting my black 86 SS painted. Stock color and stripes. Would like to know that, when new, off the showroom, were the round lock cylinders black or chrome?
Also was the base of the headlight area gloss or satin? For that matter what parts were the satin and not gloss?
If anyone has specific, Hi Res pix...That would be great.

The lock cylinders were black.

The area around the headlights and grill was a satin black (not gloss, not flat).

The round lock cylinders were also "Trim Black". Its satin.
There wasn't any chrome trim on an SS from the factory.
Things like windshield wiper arms and headlight trim pieces are often over looked. These were also Satin Black.
