I seem to recall a member or a vendor making custom front license plate brackets for the MCSS. These mount to the steel bumper bar behind the nose so you don't have to drill into the nose to mount a license plate.
Anyone recall such a product?
JacFab makes them for Camaro's..for example.

Yes they were made by a member here long ago, in fact I have one on my car. Long out of production, but anyone could make their own going forward.

Huh, I just came across this thread and learned something new. Having bought my car in Canada, I thought all of our cars came with a front license plate bracket. Only if the state it was sold in required it at the time I guess? If you aren't familiar with the OEM one:

Monte Carlo 83-88 & Choo Choo El Camino 78-87 NOS Front License Plate Bracket

Mikes Montes has a reproduction one for less money.

Having the OEM one, I can tell you it looks pretty good with the plate on it. I can understand a lot of guys don't want to drill into their bumper, but perhaps there are some that prefer things "all original".

I assumed they would come with every one, just not installed unless the dealer did it or maybe they let the owner decide, from the factory probably came loose with the car, like the front "chin" spoiler which I think was left off for delivery, then put on when at the dealer.

A few years ago a 85'SS was at a local salvage yard, no front plate looked to ever be installed and appeared original, Indiana dealer tag on the trunk lid and I'm pretty sure Indiana doesn't require front plates. While going through the car in the trunk fallen next to one of the quarter panels was the front plate bracket with an instruction sheet from the factory for installation. I made a copy and I think kept the original somewhere, kind of cool. Guessing it had been back there since about new and forgotten about.
