Hello everyone, I was lucky and found a super clean uncracked dash board to replace mine but its olive green, so I need to know what is the name or paint code for the correct blue color. Even better where can I buy it?

Wow, a blue dash in an SS, I had to think about that for a minute.

On the underside of the trunk lid is the SPID, it's a decal with all the options on the car, kinda build sheet. I'm thinking that code should be on the SPID. Others may know what that color is.

A while ago I bought a pint of SEM interior paint using the gray code for my 86 at my local body/paint supply store. They had the mix formula on file and by using the SEM was able to make the correct sheen.

As far as spraying the SEM a Prevail sprayer worked very well. Have used a Prevail to spray many other jobs, you just need to know it's restrictions.

Thanks MMC427SS for the info! Ya 83 and 84 only came with blue interiors is my understanding. Some had the 60/40 split bench and others the bucket seats. But both had the blue dash, door panels, etc.

My friend has an 84 SS, blue outside and inside. If you can't find the color on the SPID I could see if i could figure it out on his SPID.

Mike's Monte may be another good person to see if he has the color code.

Hi Bob, that is exactly my color combo. I still have the SPID in my trunk just need to take the time to look up each code. Mikes Montes does have the spray can but I have never bought anything from them and I worry the color doesn’t match to my liking. Has anyone ever purchased paint and happy with the match? I guess I could always just spend the $20 and find out for myself right?

I think he has them custom mixed or at least custom packaged/canned.
My 1987 interior is grey. Much of the plastic trim darkened and aged and the paint is flat and dead.
It just looks dirty.
A light spray refreshed the old pieces while matching the newer pieces too.
I just repainted the t-tops and was so impressed I am going to repaint a number of parts.

Thanks for that info Gordon. I have some trim pieces that also need to be freshened up. I am curious how many cans it will take to paint the dash? Any ideas?

Maybe one can will suffice if you are not changing the color. Call Mike and ask him about your color. Mask it well and avoid overspray. Also, err on the side of a lighter spray esp on your first test pieces and if it doesn't cover wait until it dries then add a second coat. Not sure - paint the back side of a trim and see how nice it looks.
