Hey guys...just curious if there are any new waxes and/or polishes that would be good for black..?
My paint is 15 years old and would like to get it shining...it does already, but was wondering if there is something new to the market?

Favorites in waxes is like asking what oil to use, you will get a lot of different opinions. Only you can assess what you need to restore your finish. All the big car care companies have how to videos that walk you through step by step in waxing and polishing. Unwaxed 15 yr old black paint will need polishing before waxing. FWIW, I love Meguire's Gold Class liquid and Adam's Detail Spray. .

It's been waxed numerous times.

But seriously, you can't go wrong with Adams, my car absolutely glistens with just their detail spray. I never wash my car, just a microfiber wipe down with Adams is all it ever needs.

The recommended wax is a carnauba wax, which have worked the best for me too.
I have not used the Adams brand but from their site, and supplies they do look good.

Carnauba wax will fill in swirl marks and micro scratches, making the paint look really deep. Clay bars will clean the paint down to the pore, the wax will cling much better, and last longer.

I would use the least aggressive treatment first, wash, clay bar, and a nice carnauba wax.
If the paint looks dull, it either has oxidation (polish ‘can’ fix, depending on the polish), or paint damage (polish will worsen immediately, or expose the base, the sun or elements will damage it over time).

Another post with lots of details:

Wizards products are great, there's no chemical smell and it's all water based. I use the complete system from claybar all the way to the wax, don't mess around though and take your time cutting and buffing to get the best results.
