Aloha guys.

So! I have decided to rebuild my 12SI which the body shop put it on instead of my CS144 which was in the car. I already bought another CS144 and it's in the car, but wanted to keep the 12SI for the rainy days. One problem. That thing squeal like a pig and I'm suspecting it's coming from the bearing (does not sound like coming from the belt). I have already order the bearing kit but one thing puzzles me.

Just how do you change the rear bearing? Front one seems pretty straight forward, but how do you get to the rear?

Anybody have any experience in this?

It just presses out, not a big deal when you have the halves apart, good luck. You can tap it out with a small hammer and a medium punch!

Keeping the 12SI for a rainy day? That's every afternoon on the leeward side of Hawaii.

I think that will be windward side, where Kaneohe and Kailua is, although Kailua isn't as bad as Kaneohe.

Just did my 12SI bearing change. Yeah, rear just pressed out. I thought that back end was some kind of cover, but it was bearing itself.

Thanks 86ttop.
