Love the color combination and interior but not the bench seat

Hmm, sorry I missed it, I've been watching BJ as much as I can. Value of car is offset since the money goes to charity.
It must be a bit rare to see an Aero ordered with a 60/40 seat.

I would of been really interested to see what it fetched on it's own, minus the charity affecting it. Looks like it was really well built but didn't see it in full detail only pictures over the last few months and what BJ showed on TV last night. Really cool and can only help the g-body world though and of course great it raised that much for a charity.

I think this was the car that was constructed at different times at some of the auctions last year with the help of all the sponsors like Prestone, BJ, etc. There were some videos made of the suspension being attached and other parts of the build. Glad it did well to help the charity.

Turned out really well. It's puzzling when ordering an SS at the Dealer you still need to check the boxes for the bucket seat option?

I was surprised they didn't remove the back window for body/paint. Looks great though!!

Yes, you got the standard bench unless you ordered 60/40 or buckets. Even the floor shift and console was optional with buckets. I have heard of bucket seat cars with a column shift.

I'm surprised at their choice for instruments/ gauges. Compared to the rest of the car, it looks a little home made. They would have been better off doing an electronic speedo conversion into the standard pod (as someone on this forum has done), or using a Dakota Digital setup.

Yea, you got to use the gauges the sponsor supplies, I guess Dakota decided not to participate in the build.

Seen the car at BJ. Have to say I was disappointed. Not a lot of attention to detail and the paint wasn't that nice. Never did get to see under the hood so I can't comment on that. I was with two other Monte guys and they felt the same.

I wish I would have known you were here Crusher, I would have walked by without saying hello... laugh

I agree about the car...it left some areas looking less than stellar and performance wise it really left a lot on the table. It did what it was supposed to do for the sponsors though and that's what they wanted.

There was a maroon 85 in the tent near the door where cars enter the auction block. It was very nicely done top to bottom.
