If that grand prix was that clean it would be worth buying the rest for the other sheet metal..

Its probably gone now. Trunk looked brsnd new . Wheelhiuses looked like the replacements . Just black paint. Local yard is kinda stuoid tjey get rid of g bodies fast and keep f bodies aroumd forever .

Basically in this pic you can see the bottom of the quarter where it overlaps the rocker. This will stay like this so i will cut it exactly the same on the car. Once tue weather breaks i will get the bracing done. And go to town basically on the metal thats toast. Firewall seam is great.i just removed tje left over bits[Linked Image][Linked Image]

Go the front frame horns cleaned up and removed the steering and box as a unit to clean them up. Lincage in great shape . All brake and fuel lunes removed. Cleaning frame from front bumper to back seat. Got my repaur washers for thhe front frame body mounts at firewall. Making progress. Whole floor is gutted now. [Linked Image][Linked Image]

Thanks ! It sure is alot of work . I basically am doing the wjeelhouse lower 3-4" and then i can do the brake lines and fuel lines and start cutting rest of rockers out and lower door jams.i already fixed the two front body mount holes and coated most of frame .it will feel good to sit back and know i brought back a corpse . Was sad really how this car is a 85 amd my 84 wasnt nearly as bad .

Got the front brake lines made up. Got 3 coils of tube . Did the 3/16,and 1/4 lines . Need to do the main 1/4 " line to the rear "t". Have 5/16 for fuel supply .still need 3/8 for the fuel return .

That reminds me of when I had to weld in a repair washer on my frame a few years ago.


SBC powered 1987 Regal with TES headers, ZZ4 intake, mini starter, THM2004R, 2500 stall converter, 2040 cam, CCC system, and 3.73 posi rear.

Ya it went very well. Passenger side fit the washer perfectly. Driver side hole was elongated so i copied the washer onto some 134 sheet and made it just oversized by a quarter inch and it worked out great. Got all my brake lines for the front anf yhe main one to the back done. Just have to flare the ends

Making progress . Got tje fuel lines made up after getting the proper
.375 line and some more .250 .brake lines in front are all installed and flared .almost back to the metal work now .will take some pics today.hope people are still enjoying this long mission. I jabe done so much work when i think about it .its hard to remember how bad it was when i got tje car . Po would be pissed amd happy if je saw tje car now. Im just worried tje 84z28 i traded it for is probably being abused amd jasmt moved from wjere i got tje car from. Im sorry but tjis car was seriously neglected amd still pisses me off a little lol.

Workin on the wheelhise inner edges that weld to upper trunk amd back seat pan now.once i have those done i can start fitting back seat in place .first time doin all this . Learning lots as i go and i think its turning out great for a first timer .

Haha lol .thanks its really alot of dedication .got my fuel lines to tank made need to get some new hose and have to figure out the vent as im not making the hard line to the front for the canister . Any idea .i was thinking make the hard line at tank amd then adding a shirt hose with vent filter if that makes sense .[Linked Image]

In this pic i added the vent tube slightly modified .the end that gies to the shield under upper trunk i made it end up in that area .i just need a breather on the end and call it good.still need to get some new hose as well. What ya think thanks [Linked Image]
