So I'm getting ready for OC cruise week and have hit a bit of a problem maybe you guys can help me with. I'm doing a rear ls brake swap and cant find anyone who just sells the flange spacers. Need to move the bracket out about 1/8 of a inch. Does any one know where I can get these and maybe a part number. Really don't want to just stack washers.

I've been gathering parts for the swap, I assume this spacer is required?

Perfect thanks. I guess you really dont need them. But as the pads wear the inside pad might come out of the bracket and create a problem. I just wanted it done right. I've searched and see people using washers or cutting the center out of the old backing plate. I need quite a bit more than the 2/32 or so thickness that that would give.

I would say that it is required. They center the rotors in the middle of the abutment brackets. I made a pair of spacers out of some thick aluminum bar that I had.

I also adapted my factory Ebrake cables to work with the Camaro hook.

I used this as a guide.

The calipers float, I don't understand what you mean that the inside pad can fall out?? I've been running the ls1 fbody setup for 5yrs with no issue...

If there is to much clearance between the bracket and rotor as the pad wears out the cllearance becomes to much and the pad backing plate will go past the edge of the bracket. Plus you run the risk of over extending ithe caliper pistons. If you keep good pads and don't let them wear to far you'll probably never have a problem. Hope that makes sense.

How many of you guys modified your proportioning valve by removing the the residual piston. Or are you just running a adjustable valve? 1LE valve ? What seems to work best?

My abutment bracket was centered over my rotor when I did my swap. Didn't need to shim. And I'm running a disc/disc combination valve from Speedway Motors.

Did you use a bracket or using the camaro e brake backing plate? Maybe that's the difference.

I did a trace of the bracket and had a friend use the trace to laser cut shims. They own a sheet metal and fabricating shop so it wasnt a big deal
