Ya but I'm not real great at keeping up with it. Mine is in the build blog section. I did cut off what was left of my driver's side quarter today, just triyn to figure out the flange above the qtr window. I think I'll leave the roof qtr seam like the new qtr has it.

Lol ya it can be hard to keep up with posting updates when there's work to do haha. Any pics of the quarter chopped off? The roof flange is definetly the tricky part. I must have inspired you to start choppin:) . When you say your going to leave the flange the way it is on the new quarter I know its different slightly.what is your plan for cutting in that area

This is the only pic I have now

Under the original qtr there is a support on the seam. With the reproduction qtr the seam will be a bit higher, I'll try to get a better pic of what, I think, I'm going to do.

I do like the thought of no seams in the qtr window flange.

I think I'll cut just below the tape and remove the outer layer first, which is the roof skin. After that what's left of top flange of the qtr window is part of the original qtr so I'll try to save that to butt the new one against.

I think with the roof skin off I might b able to fit the qtr up there a check fit or lack thereof.

Nice. Love the trunk pan I need one as well. Just some minor rust in mine . Thanks for the quarter pic. Your idea sounds like it will work . I suggest fitting up the quarter roughly to what u have now and making your top cut line accurate as possible. I can't wait till I have my first quarter off. Once I get my floor finished up I will be making some braces on the inside before I remove the quarters .

Started fitting the seat crossmember in place . Have it clamped and marking spot weld locations. So far it fits like a glove just literally popped in place when clamped

It's nice to know all that metal is protected by the e coat.

Looks real good you'll be doing burnouts before you know it!

Haha smile ya I clean the spots when its clamped down with wire wheel on drill and it cleans just the hole area were the spot weld will be it works great and that way the coating is right there . The floor will get coated eventually . Even in the under side rust won't even have a chance to form . I still have to swap the belt mounts from the old floor and spot weld them in the car . Did you do your floor already ?

Here is a view I notice not many show when they do their floor . I still have to repair the hole for the clutch Lincage . Previous owner hacked it up so I need to replace that section from a donor so I can mount my clutch master cylinder later on

I don't think I've got the a pillar sections you need. Is it just the part right on the cowl you need?

Quarter is off now . Working on the trunk area now . Almost have the spare tire well removed then removing trunk floor as well. Will be getting the complete trunk floor with braces and spare tire well . Then wheelhouses then doors . Slowly but surely . Just gotta keep it one day at a time wink . As you can see the trunk isn't to bad but the driver side body mount brace and part of floor where it meets the wheelhouse has some rot . Soon will be nice and new metal

Boy that looks familiar think

Sorry I have just the passenger side lower a pillar I went through my scrap but didn't find the drivers side. Check with Mick he's cutting up a car right now I'm getting a patch panel from him.

The drivers trunk floor fit pretty well in mine just trimmed a minor spot by the spare well. I got mine without the body mount and wasn't expecting the fuel tank braces but to my surprise they were there. The only spot it don't fit well is around the filler neck but it should be easily fixed.

Looks good keep at it your motivating others whiteside

I actually need both side a pillar bottoms . Not sure who mick is . I got the spare tire well out tonight. Next I will remove the trunk floor. I pulled one body mount bolt right behind the driver wheelhouse . The bolt basically just broke it only had maybe an1/8" holding it together so that one was easy lol. That is the spot that is bad

you should minitub and frame notch it while its apart. get more tire clearance. if you dont already have plans for that.

I have thought about mini tubs and the frame notch just kind of uneasy of the thought of xxxx the frame . I will be doing my rear rails because driver side has a hole by the body mount behind wheel well. I do have plans to build the 76 454 I have here and I also have a chevelle 12 bolt 4 series posi to go in it . Had a 4 speed and had a t5 . Thinking about a T56 . Any pics of some mini tubs ?

I have a question. I have a donor car that I am going to remove pieces from for my floor pan replacement. I am trying to figure out how the rockers, floor pan and floor pan support/inner rocker go together so I know how I am going to remove it from the donor and place it into my car. The edges past the floor pans are gone too and I am trying to figure out what I need to do. I marked up a photo of what I think the 3 pieces look like....can someone confirm I have this correct? I am hoping I can cut the floor out right where "B" meets "D" and weld it in. Its the rust around area "A" that has me worried..it looks like about 3 layers of metal and trying to figure out whats -what and how to fix it leaves me scratching my head a bit.
