i have a 200-4r tranny i believe this may be the resoning for my problems but not sure i've done everything possible to this motor without spending 1000's on it but my question is I done alot to my car to get it to power brake but it just wont do it, it will just bog out an die but i can floor it after im rolling bout 5 to 15 mph an the back tires will light up on it. this has been a real pain in the butt for me I've done all the following this to it an have noticed no power increase, Headers, true duals, aftermarket hei dist. comp cam, gear drives, went from a 2.41 rearend to a posi 3.23 gear brnd new converter (got robbed guy told me it was 2500 stall which once installed it had no stall then when i called the company they said their converters change gears at 2500) anyways then changed the motor to a 350 bored 30 over with 2.02/1.60 heads i think they are. just cant get it to power brake for nothing im thinking its this tranny anyone agree?

Doubt it. What carb are you running? I ask because you said you installed an aftermarket HEI. You need a computer distributor if you are still using the computer controlled Q-Jet. Also the cam may be too big for use with the computer. The computer may be running in limp mode causing a full rich condition.

I just have to ask, what company made the convertor and told you it "changes gears"?

this is what the guy replied when i email him "With our torque converter, your car will start moving as soon as you release your brake and hit gas. When you hit gas, it will shift faster at 2300-2700 stall for street performance (which is better performance than corvette converter). I believe you were looking for racing converter which delay launch at higher rpm just like in race track."

Sounds like the guy has no idea what he's selling or talking about.
