I had a radiator company build me a 3-row heavy duty one and used a twin electric fan setup from a Ford Explorer. I programed my '830 computer chip to turn them on at 160 deg F.

It is very helpful smile

@gmachinz, i'm not sure if you answered that question earlier, just wanted to know where you mount your relay setups?

Well, I like to mount them directly on the fan shroud down low just for easy access and to keep the power lead runs as close to a 12V source as possible to minimize voltage drop-but, I can build them to suit a customers needs based on where he/she wants to put them. Once I know what kind of relay kit you would need, then the decision on you rpart needs to be where do you want to put it? I don't charge extra for the service unless you are wanting an extremely long set of leads and even then it'd be a small increase in the cost of the kit but I don't charge more to custome build a harness to meet your criteria-I like to think people appreciate that service more than an online speed shop generic offering of a relay fan kit for xyz dollars then you figure out how to route it and make it work-that may be ok for some people but I also deal with people who want a stealth look or have extra needs that must be met.

If you don't have the computer in the car anymore the passenger fender well is an excellent place. Room could possibly be made by moving things around even if you do. Buy a relay box from another car at the junk yard and mount it to the inner fender. You can use it as-is or gut it and mount your own relays inside. Hides most of the mess and gives a factory install look. I'm one of those 'stealth look' people. I want it to appear as if it came from the factory with electric fans.

Not trying to hi-jack, but does anyone have a good control method for running two fans (or a two speed fan) with only one temp sensor/switch? I've got the ECM controlling mine, but I was looking at that for another project, and thought it might be helpful to other guys running non-computerized that don't want 2 or 3 temp switches all over the place.
